From February 6, 2024, to February 23, 2024, the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour (UPPA) hosted an exhibition dedicated to the Research in UNITA (Re-UNITA*) project at the University Library of Pau. This event aimed to showcase the results and research activities conducted within the European UNITA Alliance.
The exhibition provided visitors with an opportunity to explore the activities carried out by Re-UNITA through thematic posters on research training, entrepreneurship, and the shared infrastructure network, as well as videos and a photo exhibition. These materials highlighted the efforts of UNITA Alliance universities to develop joint and interdisciplinary research programs, and to establish a network of shared infrastructure.
Simultaneously, a roundtable discussion was organized on "Mentorship practices across UNITA and gender equality in the academic World". Through testimonies from mentors and mentees participating in the mentorship program implemented within Re-UNITA, attendees gained insight into how these informal relationships can enhance the integration of young female researchers at UPPA. The discussions addressed gender inequalities in research and the strategies deployed to address them.
This event thus marked a significant milestone in disseminating the outcomes of this project and promoting scientific collaboration at the European level. It also underscored UNITA's commitment to interdisciplinary research and innovation.
*Re-UNITA is a project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 program.
